Goooood morning everyone. It’s Tuesday and we’re at the metaphorical bottom of the weekly mountain. But we have some uniform updates from late last week to chew on. Let’s start with Temple Football news.

The Owls’ new home and away uniforms

Temple Football unveiled their new 2025-26 uniforms last week, which just happen to be their first changes since switching over to Nike in 2020. The Owls went for a surprisingly tame look this time, pulling back on some elements from their previous set. The iconic “T” is now displayed on both sides of the helmet, as opposed to the player number taking up one side previously. Said logo also appears on the shoulder sleeves, replacing a diamond pattern motif. Additionally, the “Temple” chest wordmark is noticeably smaller this time around.

You’ll also notice the big ole’ diamond stripe taking up helmet real estate. It’s a unique concept, no doubt. The team hasn’t announced alternate jerseys yet, but I’m sure they will incorporate diamonds even more.

I want to see these in action, but so far I like the look. I think the whole set is an upgrade. The only thing I’m not sure of is the “T” logo on the sleeves. We now have four “T”s above the waist as opposed to one. Still, overall it’s a great look. Temple uniforms: B

The Phillies squared off against the Cincinnati Red on July 4 and both teams donned annual Independence Day caps for the occasion. Because of their red-heavy looks, both teams wore powder blue hats with red brims. This definitely fared better for the Phils, as the shade of blue is similar to what they use for their incredibly popular throwbacks/alternates. But ultimately it didn’t bring them any luck, as the team fell to the Reds 9-6. What do you think? Do you have any July 4 caps in your collection?

And that just about does it for today. Have a great week!
