Holy moly – I never would have thought my first week of blogging would see the long anticipated reveal of a throwback jersey fans have been wanting for decades. There have been rumors this off season that Sixers would finally debut their coveted ‘Classic Edition’ jerseys for the upcoming season. But we haven’t had any concrete proof until now. Always take this info with a grain of salt, but the Instagram image comes courtesy of @__2hands_shop__, who has been accurate in the past.

The Sixers sported this look from 1997-2008, although there were minor tweaks throughout that run. It will be interesting to see which iteration they go with, but I have a hunch…

Although the current Sixers jerseys are my favorite, I’m really excited to see these. I’ll have much more coverage, thoughts, and analysis leading up to the reveal.
